New “Bug Out Bag Essentials” developed with survival expert Creek Stewart
ST. PAUL, Minn. – March 29, 2013 – The Sportsman’s Guide is launching a new online section of survival surplus gear for filling out a Bug Out Bag, a military-style backpack customized to a variety of emergency situations.
Sportsman’s Guide consulted on the line with experienced survival instructor Creek Stewart, author of “Build the Perfect Bug Out Bag: Your 72-Hour Disaster Survival Kit.” It is being introduced in the company’s April Military HQ catalog.
The survival supplies are grouped into four categories: Food, Fire and Water; First Aid and Hygiene; Shelter & Tools; Self Defense & Communication. This includes water purifiers, fire starters, MREs (ready-to-eat meals) and food storage, emergency first aid kits, survival knives and tools, emergency shelters, pepper spray, weather radios and more. Sportsman’s Guide expects to continue expanding the selection over time.
